All silk scarves are preshrunk. Care: hand wash in cool water with mild soap and line dry or dry flat. You may iron the scarves on a cool iron setting.
What is your Return Policy?
We want you to be happy with the item you purchase and share our love of the beauty and comfort of naturally dyed, organic clothing. If there is a problem with the order, i.e. the wrong size or color was sent, please e-mail or call us as soon as possible. We will work to make it right as quickly as we can! If the error was in our processing of your order or a product defect, we will provide a refund for the cost of the item or an exchange, whichever you prefer. For all other problems brought to our attention within 30 days of purchase, customers may receive a 100% product credit, less shipping and handling costs, to be used towards another purchase. Slight variations that may occur because of the handmade nature of our design and dyeing process are an inherent part of the product and are therefore not refundable. Color fading of naturally dyed fiber should not occur with normal wear as the fiber has been mordanted and only dyes reputable for their fastness have been used. However, as with all clothing, it is not recommended to leave the fiber in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Items made for customers under special order or on a commission basis are not typically refundable.
What is your Shipping Policy?
We work to get you our products as quickly and beautifully as possible! If you need an order by a specific time, please contact us to ensure we will meet your timeline with an expedited order. Orders are shipped via USPS (US Postal Service). All orders under $100 have a $5 shipping and handling charge. Orders over $100 have an $8 shipping and handling charge.
In stock items will be shipped within 2-3 business days. If something you like is listed as out of stock on the website, please contact us to place your order.
Please email Sarah at sarah@askapparel.com for questions or concerns and to ensure returns will be authorized. If for any reason you find it necessary to change or cancel an order, please call us (615) 306 3154 within one hour of placing the order.
How should we care for our item?
Customers are encouraged to turn their items inside out and machine wash with cold water. If you prefer to handwash that is also fine; please to not dry clean as the chemicals used in dry cleaning will impact the dye colors. You may put ASK Apparel items in the clothes dryer as all shirts have been preshrunk. Line drying out of direct sunlight is preferable to prolong color richness over time.
If it is necessary to clean silk scarves, they should only be handwashed with mild detergent (using mild dish soap or just water if you have none) as the washing machine will tear the items.
Natural Dyes are sensitive to changes in pH so customers should avoid strong alkaline soap solutions. Do not put strong detergent directly on shirts but rather fill the washing machine first before adding your clothing.
